MGMT - Electric Feel

Okay, first + foremost, I'd like to tell you that I've been a fan of MGMT, before Kanye West decided to place it on his blog like almost a year after the single dropped. Secondly, these guys are so amazing to me that I literally left Lupe Fiasco's show to see them play (lupe is one of my greatest of all time). They were both playing at Emo's in Austin (Austin I miss you so much!) and I actually went to see Lupe more but towards the end I ended up watching MGMT play. It was so personal and up close... these fuckin' guys are dope. Anywho, the surreal, enchanted, "take you away" melody plays perfectly with the supr wet and gentle vocals... and the hook is so money it doesn't even know it (SWINGERS!). ENJOY , my lovely readers.

PS: I just downloaded seasons 1 & 2 of Eric & Tim's Awesome Show... my brain is so confused and fucked at the same time. lmao.

Cold War Kids New Album + Tour

If you haven't heard of the Cold War Kids... shame on you. If you have heard of the Cold War Kids, but never made the effort to check out how amazing they are... cut your ears off and feed them to Ninja Ming (R.I.P.). The Cold War Kids are super duper dope and they have a new album coming out entitled LOYALTY TO LOYALTY on Sept. 23 on DOWNTOWN RECORDS (home to Kid Sister, Gnarls Barkley, JUSTICE, Spank Rock, and many more... easily one of my favorite labels ((SIGN ME!))). They also going to tour in the near near future to promote the new album, so hopefully they'll be in the city I'm in when they start (knowing me, who knows where I'll be in the next coming months.) It's dope to see Corey is finally getting the love he so rightfully deserves. I been on dude's music since like '04. He goes in holmes! We got two new mixtape tracks from dude and he goes in definitely. He has madd potential, but for some reason I feel he might go the route of a mixtape nigga. Mixtape... after mixtape... after mixtape... then, where'd he go? Hopefully he's working his connects how they spose to be worked. He's an artist + needs to present himself as such. Check him.

Honestly, when The Roc was in crash+burn mode, I counted Young Chris out. I enjoyed the State Property albums and I mean, the first Young Gunz album was surprisingly good. I didn't expect it to be as dope as it was. Then the second one came out and it got the sideways, "wha-da-fawk?!" face. Like, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't expected. Niggas needed more... they pulled a strange one-eighty in them vintage Run-DMC suits. When I saw the Dynasty taking the sword to the heart, I didn't expect much from Young Chris anymore. But I have for you, a new banger from dude. He's def still movin'! Keep bangin'em regaarddlesss!!
